Come learn how to build your own Rocket Kiln out of a used kiln and a few bricks!
Friday, July 10th - Saturday, July 11th.
We will build the kiln Friday, July 10th in the evening from 6PM-8PM, and come back to glaze Saturday, July 11th in the morning at 10AM. Plan to bring a packed lunch, or we can order pizza. We will fire the kiln in the afternoon of July 11th.
The kiln will be cool enough to unload later in the evening, but if your schedule is tight, you can arrange a time for pottery pick up later in the week.
Each student should bring 10-12 bisque pottery pieces with clay that can withstand cone 6-10 temperatures. We will be firing to cone 6.
The workshop includes a digital copy of the plans, collaborative building of one kiln with the group, glazes and supplies to fire the kiln.
